Legal Administrative Assistant

Job description

We are looking for Legal Administrative Assistants to join our company that specialises in UK conveyancing. As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for onboarding clients, assisting with legal transcription and other associated work.

Responsibilties

  • To complete all New File Opening tasks for new clients
  • To perform all the administrative tasks involved in onboarding clients
  • To ensure all data collected and input in the case management system is correct as per data provided by the client
  • To diarise and maintain all outstanding cases
  • To provide administrative support to legal professionals, including managing correspondence making calls to third parties, and organizing files.
  • Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and recordings with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure timely completion of transcription tasks to meet deadlines set by legal team members.
  • Format and proofread transcribed documents to maintain consistency and accuracy in legal terminology and formatting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all transcribed materials and sensitive information.
  • Assist with document management tasks, including scanning, filing, and organising legal documents both in physical and electronic formats.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate legal team members or providing assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other administrative staff and legal professionals to ensure efficient workflow and support the overall functioning of the legal department.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervising legal professionals or
    management.
  • Update and maintain control sheets.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors Degree in any field with at least one year work experience.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write and speak in English.
  • Good command over MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Mandatory

Background verification prior to joining / 6-month probation.
