Post Completion Assistant

Job description

We are looking for a Post Completion Assistant to join our legal company that specialises in UK conveyancing. As a Post Completion Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our team of conveyancers in coordinating with various parties and tasks to ensure a smooth and legally compliant transfer of property ownership.

Responsibilties

  • To deal with the post completion, registration of residential property matters
  • To ensure there are no client balances on any files before they are allocated to archive
  • To deal with all aspects of post completion file work to include management of timelines, submission of deeds, tracking of individual cases
  • Drafting and serving notices, and preparation /submission of requisite applications as required in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with from clients, solicitors, and other parties regarding post-completion matters
  • To deal with requisitions from HM Land Registry in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the lenders are kept up to date should registrations be delayed
  • Assist with the resolution of any post-completion issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • To send completed registrations to the lender/client
  • Coordinate with UK finance team to make payments as may be required
  • Stay updated on changes in conveyancing regulations and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency in post-completion processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of post-completion procedures and workflows within the conveyancing department.
  • Update and maintain control sheets.

Requirements

  • A degree commerce or relevant qualification in economics or work experience in accountancy is preferred.
  • Graduates in liberal arts will be considered.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write and speak in English.
  • Good command over MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Mandatory

Background verification prior to joining / 6-month probation.
